Run for the Water

The 7th Annual Run For The Water Results Are In - Please go to coolrunning.com for race day results and more photos of the event.

The race was a terrific success. We had a turnout of over 150 runners and walkers combined. It was a beautiful day. Our volunteers welcomed registered runners and day of participants and thanked them for coming down to Horseneck Beach Reservation for our annual 8K Beach Run and 3 mile Family Fun Walk.

The race got started as planned at 10:00am. Timing and Scoring were done by Spitler Timing. Many thanks to their crew for doing such a great job recording and posting everyones times.

Race guests raved about the delicious pulled pork sandwiches complete with coleslaw and pickles generously donated by the Back Eddy restaurant. Thanks to Lees and Honey Dew Donuts we were able to offer the runners a quick and healthy snack just after their run.

The WFA is grateful to Race Director Jonathan Paull Jr. for volunteering his time and talent. His hard work was evident and appreciated. The event was well organized, the race courses were well marked and the race results were posted asap.

The WFA also cannot thank enough the many WFA directors, member  and community volunteers who willingly came out and worked the event. We could have not done it without everyones  generous contributions of their time, supplies and hard work.

And of course thanks to all of the registered runners and walkers, It was nice to see some familiar faces and new ones too. We truly appreciate your support!
